RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, is a course for non-Catholic adults inquiring about the Catholic faith.

The Inquiry lasts several weeks beginning in September. After the Inquiry is completed, participants decide if they want to continue in “The Journey of Faith” which goes deeper into beliefs, traditions, sacraments, and doctrines of the Catholic Faith. This period ends with Rite of Election on the first Sunday of Lent and culminates with receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and reception of Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil Mass. The participants are now in full communion with the Catholic Church.

The class meets once a week in the evening and lasts about one and a half hours. Speakers include the pastor, deacons, and RCIA instructors.
